HENRIK ABEDIAN
Coming from a family of photographers, Henrik Abedian (*1966, Tehran, Iran) combines several styles of image creation in his art. He received his initial training in art and photography through his father, and subsequently completed a master’s degree in photography at the prestigious Hamburg Academy of Photography. Abedian absorbed a variety of influences and refined his eye for form, light, type, and most importantly, color. His images reflect a focus on the intersection of technology and media in modern life.
Abedian’s work is inspired by his travels around the world. He speaks several languages fluently and is constantly immersed in a variety of cultures. Originally from Armenia, he has also lived in Iran, Germany, and now Atlanta, Georgia, USA. His influences on art, photography, and digital media come from his multicultural background, his travels, and his passion for contemporary art.
